Xact Check will merge with HLA’s investigation services division

Washington, DC — December 6, 2007— Harbor Lane Associates, Inc. (HLA) today announced plans to acquire Xact Check, Inc., a leading provider of employment screening services. Xact Check will become a subsidiary of Harbor Lane Associates, expanding HLA’s investigative services capacity. Terms of the acquisition have not been disclosed.

The merger of Xact Check with HLA’s investigation services division will create a new entity with the existing Xact Check name and will significantly enhance HLA’s client base and sales channels. “The new Xact Check will consist of expert management and first-rate staff who share HLA’s commitment to quality customer service,” said Emily A. Kieffer, who will head up the firm.

Xact Check is known for its advanced employment screening technology, along with its information and advisory services offerings.

Michalsky to lead new WESTPAC office
