Harbor Lane Associates Announces Acquisition of XactCheck

XactCheck will merge with HLA's investigation services division

Washington, DC — December 6, 2007— Harbor Lane Associates, Inc. (HLA) today announced plans to acquire XactCheck, Inc., a leading provider of employment screening services. XactCheck will become a subsidiary of Harbor Lane Associates, expanding HLA's investigative services capacity. Terms of the acquisition have not been disclosed.

The merger of XactCheck with HLA's investigation services division will create a new entity with the existing XactCheck name and will significantly enhance HLA's client base and sales channels. "The new XactCheck will consist of expert management and first-rate staff who share HLA’s commitment to quality customer service," said Emily A. Kieffer, who will head up the firm.

XactCheck is known for its advanced employment screening technology, along with its information and advisory services offerings.
