Lost Restricted Data

CitiFinancial lost a box of computer tapes with private account information, including Social Security numbers and financial records when transporting the data from New Jersey to Texas via UPS.

Personal data on employees of media giant TimeWarner was lost in transit by its storage company. The lost files contained data on current and former employees going back to 1986, as well as some of their dependents and beneficiaries.
